Bleacher Bum
A fan that prefers to sit in sections 34 to 43 at Fenway Park, otherwise known as the bleachers, than sit behind some pole for more money.
A true afficianado remembers when the seats were benches, tickets were general admission and to get to the other parts of the park you had to fake a medical emergency so you could get to the first aide station behind first base. Buying a scalper ticket for $20 for game 6 of the 1975 World Series was thought of as absolutely crazy when now you can’t even get a lower bleacher seat for a regular game for that price. You could actually sit in sections 34 and 35 for a day game, beers weren’t limited or small and the ushers smoked cigars.
You are a true bleacher bum if you realize the more expensive seats in Fenway Park aren't necessarily better or the most fun.
