1. Doerr, Bobby
2B who spent his entire 14-year career with the Sox. A member of the Hall of Fame, he had a .288 career BA and a little extra pop in his bat. He led all Boston hitters in the 1946 World Series, hitting over .400. His uniform #1 is now retired.

2. Cronin, Joe
Hall-of-Fame shortstop with career .301 batting average from 1926 to 1945. Spent the last 11 years of his playing career as player-manager of the Red Sox and continued managing through 1947. He then moved into the GM spot, and later became AL president, the first former player to hold that post. His number 4 was retired by the Red Sox.

3. Stanley Steamah
Nickname for Bob Stanley, who spent his entire 13-year career with the Sox and amassed over 100 wins and over 100 saves.
