1. Dewey
Nickname for right fielder Dwight Evans, who played for the Sox from 1972 – 1990. A lifetime .272 hitter, Dewey was known primarily for his defense, winning the gold glove seven times (plus one tie). He is often remembered for his catch at the wall to rob Joe Morgan of a home run in the 1975 World Series, arguably one of the greatest defensive plays in the history of the game. Also known for his iconic batting stance (see image).

2. pink hat
A person who eschews the traditional Red Sox colors when wearing team merchandise (usually substituting with completely unrelated colors), indicating their interest in the display of affection for the team is second to fashion. Generally a pejorative term also covering fairweather fans who overdress for the ballpark.
It'd be easier to get tickets if all these pink hats weren't buying them up to strut down the concourse.
