Invented pitch by Jonathan Papelbon, a cmbination of a Slider and Cut Fastball, first unleashed on Tampa Bay’s Gomes in the 8th inning of a game on August 21th. It is believed to be the southern version of the gyroball.
Papelbon unleashed his slutter on Johnny Gomes in the 8th inning last night.
