foulked
To give your all to something or otherwise overwork/injure yourself in reaching a goal such that you’re never quite the same afterwards. This is in reference to Keith Foulke’s studly postseason in 2004 that was a major factor in the Red Sox triumph but that also ended Foulke’s MLB career.
In preparing for the Battle of the Bands competition, Murph and his band practiced all night, every night for a week, but now Murph is totally foulked as he lost his voice and the Battle of the Bands is tonight.
