little roller

The now infamous Buckner incident in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series was broadcast by Vin Scully this way: “A little roller up along first, behind the bag … it gets through Buckner…”
The term is now used for an unexpected turn for the worse by Red Sox fans.

Everything was going great on my calc final until I got to the little roller on page 3. BILL: So whatevah happened to that hot chick, Michelle, I saw you chatting up at the bah? DOUG: Ah, frig, I was just about to ask her back to my place when, little rollah, I find out Michelle was once Michael. BILL: Get out! DOUG: Yep, total post-op transexual.
