1. The Steal
The reason Dave Roberts will never satrve to death.
Minor correction- this occured in the ALCS not the World Series, though for obvious reasons it had tremendous impact. Roberts embodied the true definition of a master of the art fo the steal in this case. Every soul in the park knew he was going and he was still able to slide in just millimeters ahead of Dumbo’s throw to CI who was covering the bag.

2. The Steal
“The Steal” in Game 4 of the 2004 World Series, Dave Roberts.
With the Red Sox facing elimination in Game 4, down 3 games to none and losing the game 4-3 in the bottom of the ninth, Roberts pinch ran for Kevin Millar and after garnering some attention from Mariano Rivera, stole second base. He scored on a Bill Mueller single, and the Red Sox went on to win in the 12th inning. Boston would go on to win the next 3 games for a 4-3 series win and eventual World Series title. Roberts’ steal was deemed as one of the most important turning points of the series.
Only one.
